Provider incorrect? Change it
The adaptive test uses progressive samples and transfers no more than about 22 MB, plus small latency requests.
The test displays provider and public IP metadata in this browser, then sends temporary sample traffic to Cloudflare's nearest network edge. The IP address is not stored in local result history.

Test the connection you are using now
The measurement follows your active internet connection, whether it is fibre, home broadband, Wi-Fi or mobile data.
SLT Internet Speed Test
Select SLT before starting to label and compare results from an SLT fibre or broadband connection.
Dialog Internet Speed Test
Check the download speed, upload speed and latency of the current Dialog home or mobile connection.
Mobitel Internet Speed Test
Measure a Mobitel mobile data or broadband connection and keep the result for a later comparison.
Hutch Internet Speed Test
Run the same browser measurement on a Hutch data connection without installing an application.
How the internet speed test works
The automatic test first downloads progressively larger samples up to 16.1 MB, then uploads progressive samples up to 6.1 MB, and finally measures ping and jitter with small requests. Each transfer phase can stop early after enough measurement time, reducing data use on slower connections. Results are calculated in your browser. The traffic is sent to Cloudflare's globally distributed measurement service, which normally routes the connection to a nearby network edge.
Understanding your results
- Download speed affects browsing, streaming and receiving files.
- Upload speed affects video calls, cloud backups and sending large files.
- Ping is the response delay. Lower values are generally better for calls and games.
- Jitter shows how much latency changes between requests. Lower and steadier values are better.
Get a fair result
- Pause large downloads, cloud backups and streaming on other devices.
- Move close to the Wi-Fi router or test through a wired connection.
- Run two or three tests at different times of day.
- Compare Wi-Fi and wired results before reporting a line problem.
- Remember that VPNs, signal quality, congestion and routing can change a result.
Frequently asked questions
Does the provider option connect to an SLT, Dialog or Mobitel server?
No. It labels the connection for your local history. Measurements use Cloudflare's nearest available edge, so results show performance from your provider to that network.
How much data does a test use?
The adaptive test transfers no more than about 22 MB, plus small latency requests. Slower connections can finish with less data because each transfer phase stops early after enough measurement time.
Is the result exactly the same as my package speed?
Not necessarily. Package speed is usually a maximum. Wi-Fi signal, device limits, network congestion, routing and the selected test method can affect measured performance.
Are my results uploaded to Graphic Design Sri Lanka?
No. Graphic Design Sri Lanka does not receive or store the result. The latest five results are stored in your own browser. Cloudflare processes the measurement traffic and IP address under its privacy terms.
Can I test mobile data?
Yes. Disconnect Wi-Fi first if you specifically want to measure the active SLT, Dialog, Mobitel or Hutch mobile data connection.
